I am Stephen Adrano, this is Death
Raemann has asked me to place something in his journal in order that you and I might become better acquainted. Of course I immediately embraced this opportunity as it gives me a chance to do something that I so rarely have the chance to do any more. Preach to the uninformed.
I hope that you do not mind, but I am going to have a smoke. Now, I am what some refer to as a Harbinger, moe precisely a Necromancer, and yet to others I am a brother of pestilence or even, one of my favorites, Advocate of Doom. I simply love that one. Doom, yes I find that quite pleasing.
Enough of that, I am certain that you are more interested in facts than in fear and I am quite accustomed to seeing the marks of fear etched into the lines of faces of all ages and origins. I am, quite simply put, a Principle of the seventh Son of Mindanto. He who ends life. Now to the Khrn he is known as K’Goorn Baern, to the Aelvin Mae he is a she and her name is whispered Daerf, but to those of humanity we all know and fear the skeletal grip of Ahlmastro; the aspect of Death. In my position I have learned to harness the energies of the negative plane through closer contact than any of you should care to endure, with Ahlmastro himself. Icy cold does not begin to describe the aura about him. To consider his touch is beyond even my considerable powers, and I have proceeded through eighteen variants of his tests of servitude. The energies which proceed out of him and through my person are a gift which I labor to distribute among those to which he has seen fit to afford me audience. Persons of great power, of great cunning, of lesser status or position, yes even persons not unlike you, my child. I visit upon all that chilling touch, for you must understand that as powerful as he is and as singular his touch, he prefers to not distribute this gift himself to those outside of his cloister. Instead Ahlmastro has given to us, His retinue, the joy of sending the good, the evil and the rest to whomever it is that has been granted custodial care of their immortal soul. I do not care if you are a good or a bad man, begging me for more time will avail you not. For in life it is the individual which sets the final destination of the spirit through the varied day to day actions which they inevitably take for granted. The acts which defined you yesterday will pay your way to the destination for which you have entrusted your own being. I would never condemn you dear, dear friend, but I most certainly will send you to your recompense. It is what I do, and trust me when I tell you that I enjoy my work.
